Application Procedure
These steps should serve as a guideline to applicants:

1. Parents or guardians must complete the application form and forward it to the school.

2. The following are required as part of the application:
a) The enclosed recommendation or assessment form is to be completed by the applicant's current language teacher (French/English) or grade teacher, whichever is most applicable. The form should be returned directly to St. George's School. An envelope is enclosed for this purpose.
b) Include a copy of the applicant's most recent school report, other reports that may be pertinent and any test scores (such as SAT).
c) Include an original, authenticated or true copy of the birth certificate.
d) Include a certified English translation of the birth certificate
e) Include a recent photograph of your child.
f) This application should be accompanied by a cheque for the $250.00 USD non-refundable application fee.

3. All applicants for Grades 7, 8 and 9 are required to sit for an entrance test. The test is not competitive but designed to determine basic skills in English, French and Mathematics. All applicants for Grade 10 & 11 are required to write a placement exam for English and French. These exams will be arranged at a mutually convenient time.

4. Applicants will be notified as soon as the admissions process has been completed.
a) Applicants who are accepted are given a deadline for registration.
b) Applicants who are placed on the waiting list will be so notified. Parents can be assured that applicants on the waiting list are most acceptable candidates; they are on the waiting list because there are a limited number of openings.
c) Applicants who are not successful in the admissions process will be so notified; the Head of School, the Assistant Head, Academics, or the Assistant Head, Elementary School will be prepared to discuss the decision with the family.

5. After an international student is accepted at St. George’s School in Montreal the following documents must be provided to the school prior to commencement in order for the student to be granted their temporary English Eligibility Certificate
• A copy of the Student Visa and a copy of the Certificate of Acquisition to Quebec (CAQ)
OR
• A copy of the Parent(s) Work Permit and a copy of the CAQ
OR
• A letter from Quebec Government of Protocole

Please note that school Tuition Fees must be paid in full prior to start date.
