Cycle I, Year I (Grade 7) As a component of the admissions process, students are required to write an entrance exam. The test is not competitive but designed to determine basic skills in English, French and Mathematics. St. George’s School of Montreal, along with other area Q.A.I.S. schools, has opted to participate in a common entrance exam. Applicants will be able to write one exam and have the results forwarded to any other participating Q.A.I.S. school. We have selected the CAT as the common entrance test for Cycle I, Year 1. We would like to remind parents and students that the CAT is only one component of the admissions procedure and parents are asked to make sure they supply our school with the specific data and materials requested. We hope this process will streamline the application process for students entering Cycle I, Year 1.
• Applicants who are accepted are given a deadline for registration. • Applicants who are placed on the waiting list will be so notified. Parents can be assured that applicants on the waiting list are most acceptable candidates; they are on the waiting list because there are a limited number of openings. • Applicants who are not successful in the admissions process will be so notified; the Head of School, or the Director of Admissions, will be prepared to discuss the decision with the family.
