The Resource Centre The purpose of the Resource Centre collection is to support the curriculum, and the role of the librarian is to promote information literacy within the school. The services offered reflect this overall goal. The librarian plans projects collaboratively with teachers, and provides help, individually, and to classes, with research and homework. Also, the love of reading is encouraged, and the librarian helps students choose novels and non-fiction material which they would enjoy. What is the Virtual Resource Centre? Virtual Resource Centre is a password-protected website available to students and faculty at St. George's High School. It can be used from home as well as in school. It gives students access to online services for which the school pays (e.g. World Book Online, Britannica Online, netTrekker d.i. and others). The site also provides research tips and project guides for students, information about new books through the reading blog, Resource-Full, and more. In short, it is a digital extension of the physical Resource Centre. Click here to access the Virtual Resource Centre When is the Resource Centre open?
