Real Achievements
All students at St. George's School of Montreal benefit from a unique approach in enriched learning. Our teachers challenge students to delve deeper and move them "beyond the ordinary" given various learning styles, learning challenges and interests. They use a diverse repertoire of teaching strategies to enhance student learning, rooted in research-based practices emanating from the work of top scholars at renowned universities such as Harvard, McGill and The Curry School of Education (University of Virginia). As a designated "lead school", St. George's has become a standard-setter, representing best practices in education within the Quebec Association of Independent Schools network.
Our High School curriculum provides a broad selection of challenging courses from all major disciplines, as we hope to achieve a synthesis between the analytical skills of the scientist and the creativity of the artist. We also draw deeply from Quebec's diverse cultures and our students are fluent in at least two languages. At St. George's, students are prepared rigorously for traditional "pen and paper" exams, still important determinants of academic success. However, they surpass traditional goals to become independent thinkers and doers. They blossom, ready to take on the world and to use their gifts to aid, innovate and create.
